Payment methods
Bitcoin
Payments in bitcoin (and other crypto) are becoming more and more prevalent, especially so for digital goods.
We've made it possible to link your bitcoin wallet directly to your SellApp storefront, helping you earn bitcoin that directly gets deposited to your linked wallet. No hold periods, no platform fees, no withdrawal fees.
Linking Bitcoin
Navigate to your storefront payment settings by clicking here.
You will find a "BTC Wallet" button. Click it to open the Bitcoin onboarding modal.
Enter your extended public key (xpub).
- If you don't know how to find it, refer to the below steps for various wallets.
Finally, click "Save" in the modal
That's it! Bitcoin has now been enabled for your store and you can now enable Bitcoin for every new product you create.
Optionally: Enabling Bitcoin for products which already exist
If you want to enable Bitcoin for products which already exist, here's how to do so:
Navigate to your products dashboard by clicking here.
On the products page, toggle the checkboxes of the products you want to enable Bitcoin for.
Click the "Update Payment Methods" button found in the "bulk update" dropdown that appears.
- A modal will pop up; check Bitcoin (& optionally other payment methods that you'd like enabled)
Finally, click "Update All" in the modal to update the products' payment methods.
That's all done for you: all the products you selected will now have Bitcoin enabled as a payment method, which customers will be able to select when making a purchase.
Support: How to find Extended Public Key (XPUB)
SellApp generates new payment addresses for every order created. These addresses are generated via the extended public key (xpub) that you link to your store.
The benefits of linking an XPUB to your SellApp store:
SellApp does not require access to your private keys, meaning there is zero risk of something going wrong.
Bitcoin (and other crypto) payments go directly to your wallet, we don't hold funds or take fees for sales.
Enhanced privacy thanks to generating fresh addresses for every new order created

All of the above entities are custodial solutions. This means that you don't have a wallet with them, they hold your coins for you.
As such, you can't get an XPUB from them to use with SellApp.
As an alternative, we'd recommend downloading Electrum to use as your SellApp wallet.
